Yellow Frangipani Heart Cake - Construction

Construction of a my white 3 tier heart shape cake with yellow frangipani flowers & pink embossed fondant ribbon. I just learnt how to make these beautiful flowers! Watch the finished photos/video of this cake in my other video: Yellow Frangipani Heart Cake.

    HI , can i please ask how you get the beautiful letters ( cutters , stensil ?? ) id love to know so i can also do them please :)

    I used cardboard bases and support dowels but not a central dowel i think(?)

    Thank you, I use my own embosser that’s not a regular cake tool. Am thinking of making it into a mold soon.

    Did you put support dowels and cardboard bases? or just put cake on cake without support?

    You can get them on line from many cake deco shops. Try cakedecoratingcentral(dot)com(dot)au. They look like tear drops ; )

    I haven’t cut a heart shape cake from scratch but I guess you would cut out a heart shape template first and then use it to cut out the cake(?)

    I dont really stretch the fondant – maybe just a little but you can hide the bottom with a ribbon wrapped around. I didn’t make the flower paste recipe – it’d pre bought. Sorry for the late reply and hope you cake went great ; )

    QUESTION= how do i cut out a perfect heart shape from a round cake? my grocer didnt have heart shape pans :(

    Hi, absolutely beautiful. How do you get the icing so tucked in? do you stretch the icing? (planning on making my first one in a week) Any recipes to make the flowers?
