I made this – two layers of fruit cake and three of rich chocolate cake. marzipan and royal icing on the fruit cakes and fondant icing with royal icing for the fancy work on the chocolate cakes.
It took a lot of effort and timing and imagination to get this cake as it was requested – but I am glad to say that the wedding went very well and they loved the cake
