i have a question when i make roses they always tend to fall to one side when im doing them is it coz my buttercream is too soft?

  15. weddingcakesforyou on May 1, 2012 at 10:29 pm

LOL Yes Yani You have my blessing! Go for it! But only for decorations mind you LOL!!!

  16. yaniangelicstyle on May 1, 2012 at 10:58 pm

“Thank you so much I will try it especially now that I have the blessings to go ahead and use crisco from you.”

  17. weddingcakesforyou on May 1, 2012 at 11:06 pm

Yani, You could try the buttercream made with crisco. It doesn’t melt as easily. I wouldn’t frost a cake with it but it is good for decorating if you have the hot hands issue.

“Great tutorial on making roses. I have hot hands & have a hard time making flowers look nice…they usually end up looking glossy & like they’re melting. I have kind of giving up on trying to make them. Your rose is beatiful..”

Those are beautiful… could you do another video but closer to your hands?

  25. weddingcakesforyou on May 2, 2012 at 4:25 am

@RubyTeaCakes Hi Ruby I hate the thought of eating Crisco. Butter is a little harder to work (especially for making flowers, with and is not pure white, but I would much rather have the cake and the flowers taste awesome.
